I am honored to have been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by Spencer at The Mindberg. He is a fellow mental health blogger that I connected with through our writing. He has a really great site and you should check it out!
The Blogger Recognition Award rules
There are some rules that go along with the nomination. It is by no means required to make a post if you are nominated, but here they are!
1. Thank the blogger(s) for nominating you and give the link to their blog!
Thanks again, Spencer at The Mindberg! I appreciate the nomination and glad we have been able to connect. Nice to have some friends in “the biz.”
2. Write a post on your site displaying the award that describes why you started your blog.
I have wrestled with my mental health issues for a long time. Sounds cliche but they really were demons constantly battling me.
I eventually found that the best way to keep some shred of sanity was to discuss my journey. It helps me and it has the potential to help others. There is no greater gift than that. Except maybe a cure for depression 🤷🏻♀️
3. Write 2 pieces of advice you have for new bloggers.
A) Be yourself! People stopped by your site because they want to read what YOU have to say. Not another blogger, but YOU. You have a unique voice and gifts to share so focus on being authentic with your readers.
B) Read up on SEO and other metrics like domain authority. If you want your blog to have a wide readership, eventually you have to learn the boring stuff. My blog is still in its infancy but I have started to learn the “techie” side, and I know it will take me far.
4. Nominate (and notify!) 15 more bloggers that they’re awesome.
Check out these amazing blogs and give them a follow! They are all so different, and wonderful, and I am proud to have been able to connect with them. They all deserve this Blogger Recognition Award, and so much more!
With all my love,
